Regional work

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has developed a number of approaches to address human trafficking in many regions of the world.

In some areas, there are programmes to prevent trafficking and programmes to help identify and protect human trafficking survivors. In other locations, anti-trafficking is only part of our core humanitarian work. This might include bringing families back together and ensuring migrants are treated humanely. It also involves supporting vulnerable people, both adults and children, who may be discriminated against because of their gender, sexuality, or because they have different needs to others.

Both the Action for Trafficked Persons Network (ATN) and the Asia Pacific Migration Network (AMPN) operate regionally to support and expand this area of our work. You can read more about our ongoing projects below.
